Motelgita: [motelgitaisv] Tampa Convention

Dear all Vaishnavis and Vaishnavas,
Please accept my humble obeissances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, Guru and Gauranga.

Recently we attended Tampa AAOHA Convention. By Vaisesika prabhu's inspiration, Mayapur Vihari prabhu and Dilip prabhu's hard work and blessings of all the vaishnvas here - it was sublime experience. Taking orders was so simple and easy. It is like taking orders at a cash register at a busy fast food place, and moteliers were giving Laxmi like we were bank tellers. (Of course compared to $0 collected last year, getting $250 at this Tampa convention felt great).

We got order for 2,000 BG!! One motelier came in and said - "I orderder BGs last year. My customers love it. They come out with Gita and start asking questions. Do you have do any training classes? I need to learn BG. Please give me at least 25 Gitas, as I need to refill." Second motelier came and said - "I want to contribute $100 a month to this program. You guys are doing such a great service." Third person came, he was so impressed he stood by our booth. I asked him, does he have a motel? He said no. Hmm. I felt sad. But then he asked each and every motelier friend who was passing through to sign up. I dont know much Gujrati and he did not know any other language than Gujrati. Our interaction may have been a comic scene. Like Srila Prabhupada said - a blind man can help a lame man and they can together make advancement. And of course, there were few motliers who were happy with their decision of ordering Gitas last year.
